What happens if your trip takes a turn for the worst?
When you travel outside of Ontario, whether it be for a couple of hours or an extended period of time, you are leaving behind up to 90% of your Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) coverage. That is why we highly recommend Out-of-Province Medical Insurance when you travel outside of Ontario. Cancellation & Interruption Insurance are also important to have. This will cover the cost of your trip if you have to cancel (for a covered risk) before your departure and help cover costs if you have to return home before your return date. Baggage Insurance is also good to have in case your luggage gets lost or stolen. Topplane Travel offers our clients Single Trip or Annual Travel Insurance . We offer our clients insurance covereage from Manulife Insurance. We also sell travel insurance to people who are travelling on their own and not on one of Topplane Travel "Fun Trips". So give us a call when you're travelling out of Ontario and we'll give you a quote.
Why are some tours cancelled?
Regretfully, we have to cancel some of our tours if we do not get enough interest from people by a certain date. Booking components of trips is getting more difficult for us. Most hotels, restaurants, concerts, attractions, etc. require deposits when booking now. Most of these deposits are non-refundable or become non-refundable at a certain date. Some require full payment at a certain date which is non-refundable. In some cases these payments are required months in advance of the trip. Therefore, if we do not have enough people booked on trips by a certain date, we have to cancel or lose the money we paid on deposits or final payments. If you would like to travel with us on any of our tours, we would appreciate it if you would contact us as soon as possible.
